Beautiful bride to be Jennie was put forward to me through her wedding planner, the lovely Kim Neville at The Pink Pumpkin. We met in early spring and straight away I knew this was going to be one of those weddings. Jennie is effortlessly beautiful without make-up, so I was quite sure that I wanted to merely enhance rather than cover or correct. After a short discussion, I’m pleased to say that Jennie was happy to let me guide her with her look.
The location was a new one for me and quite frankly, it blew me away. Sezincote is a building like no other I’ve seen. An Indian style house built by Samuel Pepys Cockerell, you have to see it to believe it.
Finally, these images were taken by legendary photographer Brett Harkness. Since this wedding I’ve had the good fortune to work with him as make-up artist on workshops and he is a true talent. I knew these images were going to be amazing so I was thrilled although not surprised when I got these through.

Introducing Jennie…
The Getting Ready shots- We had the most incredible room to get ready in, in front of huge glass doors with lots of natural daylight flooding in. I kept her skin as ‘real’ as possible, mixing a Face Atelier foundation with a Laura Mercier Illuminating tinted moisturiser. Some gentle concealing, contouring and a touch of creme blush followed by setting powder created this.
In keeping with my style, I very softly groomed the brows, just enough to give a good frame to support the soft smoky eye we were going to create.

Using Ardell individual lashes in a mixture of short and medium to create a fuller lashline
To balance out a stroger eye, I gave Jennie a very soft lip. Using Model Co nude illusion lipliner, Une Lip Toned Lipcolour in L02 and finished off with a light peachy beige gloss my Maybelline in Nude Pearl.
